Bollywood Heading for IPTV with en2go
The market for Bollywood movies is huge and over just the last few months has seen major deals with Hollywood big hitters, including Stephen Spielberg’s DreamWorks company.
There are several other Asian mass-market movie companies possibly unheard-of by Westerners, such as Tollywood, Malyalam, Punjabi, Tamil, Kannada, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, but nonetheless major players in the gigantic Asian film market.
en2go has been working away at its Flyxo technology for some time.
The technology is aimed at helping to create a system for delivering HD Asian movies via IP TV for Sybanet Communications.
This new Indian channel will distribute Bollywood and all the other Asian movie studios films mentioned above to the 1 billion strong viewers on the Indian subcontinent.
Flyxo has now moved into the beta testing stage in association with its partners.
For the time being the beta testing will be via Mac only.
What separates Flyxo from the rest when it comes to video streaming technology is that it is capable of delivering a stream of mixed clips direct from HD video to the home user’s PC.
Content owners can also create their very own channel by mixing together interactive media and video, and can then broadcast this to any PC in the world.
