IPTV focus at NAB 2008 in Las Vegas
The NAB 2008 conference and exhibition will be held between 11 - 17 April at Las Vegas Convention Centre in Nevada. Of the 111,028 visitors in 2007, there were more than 27,000 international attendees representing 163 countries.
NAB 2008 will expand its IPTV offerings with a new conference series and super session providing telecommunications and wireless professionals with insight into converging technologies, concepts and equipment for IPTV and other next-generation video businesses.
The IPTV Pavilion will be in the Content Central section located in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Centre. New to the NAB Show, the IPTV Pavilion and Content Central will provide a platform for exhibitors to showcase content distribution and delivery products and services. The IPTV Pavilion will focus on the distribution and delivery of IPTV services, uniting content and new technology to provide innovative solutions to telecom organisations.
NAB 2008 also will offer a conference series on IPTV called “Telecom2008: Building Your IPTV Business.” The new series will explore the strategies and technology necessary for companies to build IPTV businesses.
The conference will provide information about creating and acquiring content, present the latest developments in the telecom industry and offer guided tours of IPTV technology found on the NAB show exhibit floor.
The "IPTV Right Now - Where We Are and What We Have Learned" super session on April 15 will look at previous IPTV technology experiences to predict trends in connected TV through the next 12 months.
