IPTV and Microsoft in London
The IPTV service will be available over the Xbox 360. It has already been discussed in the US, and it is scheduled for release there by Christmas of 2007.
Not only is Microsoft showcasing its IPTV service world wide, but it is also working some deals with IPTV providers. It is possible that it will be working out a deal with AT&T. It is speculated that such a deal could mean free Xbox 360’s for consumers willing to agree to a long term IPTV service contract.
Microsoft is hoping to launch its IPTV service in Europe as early as it does in the United States. It sees its IPTV option as a perfect way to partner with providers like British Telecom, Deutsche Telekom, T-Online (in France) and Swisscom.
The Microsoft TV IPTV Edition and the Xbox 360 are both excellent introductions for the market. They offer unique and exciting entertainment options, like chatting while watching movies or other broadcasting.
IPTV is continuing to expand into the mainstream market. Microsoft, always on the cutting edge of technology, is excited to expand the market even farther. It hopes that its IPTV service will continue to drive innovation in the industry.
