Next Level Internet TV From Inuk and Move Networks

by Alan Harten

Two companies have joined forces in no less a venture than revolutionising the Internet television experience.

Move Networks, the Internet television services provider, and triple-play service provider Inuk Networks, have hatched a cunning plan to take Internet TV forward to the next level.

They basically intend to integrate their services to provide a fully rounded and more capable system.

Move has its Simulcode and Move Adaptive Stream, that will be adapted for use with Inuk’s igloo virtual Set-Top Box solution for PCs and Macs.

This combined solution will then be packaged and wholesaled to content owners and platform operators.

They will then be able to make use of the combined technology for various solutions, including hosting, systems integration, billing and CDN services.

Customers will be able to make use of interactive entertainment so that they can use an Internet phone, as well as interacting with other viewers live, to discuss shows they are watching.

Targeted advertising will be another strong feature of the system, helping providers to get the right advertisements to the right people.

There will be many other services such as instant messaging and social networking.

This is not forgetting TV programming with Hi-Fi video as well as a program guide; they will also make use of the latest IR/Bluetooth remote and picture in picture previews.
