Orange reveals plan for quadplay bundles

by Jan Harris

Mobile phone company, Orange, is planning to expand into the digital TV market and offer the service as a quadplay bundle.

The company has just launched a new home phone service, Home Max, which bundles broadband, line rental and calls in one package. A new customer support centre has been established in Belfast to support the service.

Customers are also able to make fee international calls over an inclusive VoIP line.

Along with the launch of Home Max, Orange revealed plans to offer bundles including mobile phone, broadband, home phone and digital TV.

According to Asif Aziz, Orange’s director of home products, the company aims to provide mobile, broadband, fixed line and TV to every house in Britain. Orange’s digital TV service will be launched later this year.

Becoming a quadplay provider would place Orange in direct competition with Virgin Media, which is currently the only other broadband provider to offer home phone, digital TV and mobile.
