Mobrio powers Virgin’s Road to V site

by Jan Harris

Virgin Mobile has again appointed London-based Mobrio to power its Road to V with Sony Ericsson site www.roadtov.com.

The site allows bands to register for the opportunity to open the V Festival. Aspiring bands can upload track demos, profiles and videos and fans can vote on their favourites and post comments for the judges.

Mobrio’s ugc.tv user-generated content software platform is powering the 2008 site, which has registered over 2,200 bands since it went live on 29th February.

Mobrio’s ugc-tv platform allowed registration, band profile and multimedia upload facilities to be easily migrated into the 2008 site.

2008 is the ninth year Virgin Mobile has sponsored the V Festival.

Mobrio’s user-generated content services are used by major digital media and entertainment companies including ITV, MTV, and Sky News.
