Top Up TV announces 250GB digital TV recorder

by Jan Harris

Top Up TV, a UK pay TV service which offers extra channels to Freeview DTT users, has announced a new Top Up TV+ digital TV recorder (DTR) with a 250GB hard drive, providing additional space to record programmes.

The new DTR provides 180 hours of standard-definition recording. It features a dual-tuner Freeview receiver and provides access to the PictureBox service, which offers a choice of seven premier movies each day for £5 a month.

The unit is available with a month’s trial of Top Up TV Anytime for £129.99. One month of Setatanta Sports is available for an additional £20. Top Up TVs original 160GB DTR is still available, priced at £99.99.

The DTRs are available from Argos and should also be available to buy from the Top Up TV website.

The Top Up TV DTR allows viewers to watch all Freeview channels, upgrade to Pay-TV packages, pause and rewind live TV, record two programmes at the same time, record a whole series at the touch of a button, and build up a library of favourite programmes.

No disks or tapes are required and there a lock which allows parents to control the content their children are allowed to view.
