Hanaro Selects Corrigent For IPTV

by Alan Harten

Korea’s second largest ISP, Hanaro, is to begin making use of Corrigent Systems’ CM-100 product line.

The company is looking to boost its already strong Korean broadband commitment by increasing its offerings.

It has already launched a100Mbps service and now wants to add the services to go with it.

This is where Corrigent comes in to help with FTTH technology for advanced IPTV services.

The system will give Hanaro the capability to provide legacy TDM services, as well as broadcast TV (IPTV) and other data heavy services.

CM platforms are capable of 10Gbps solutions that bring together support of legacy SONET/SDH capabilities and Ethernet transport.

All this means that Hanaro will soon be able to offer value-added services to their customers.
