Envivio Gets $25 Million Shot in The Arm
For the past five years, mobile to HD IP video convergence encoding solutions provider, Envivio, has managed a highly respectable average of 55% growth each year.
They have just added several new faces to their senior staff line up and felt they were now ready to move forward.
Envivio solutions are currently in use in over 200 fixed and mobile networks and deliver live media services to the TVs, PCs and mobile phones of millions of consumers around the world.
Envivio provides the only solution capable of the delivery of Internet TV and IPTV services and Mobile TV with the use of a single Three Screens encoder.
The $25 million cash injection was supplied by Harbourvest and Atlantic Bridge, as well as Samsung Ventures.
Several other companies chipped in, including Crédit Agricole Private Equity, Crescendo Ventures, Innovacom (France Telecom).
All this extra cash will be used to build new products and boost sales of existing systems.
