Atos Origin wins award for IPTV payment solution
Atos Worldline, a subsidiary of Atos Origin, secured the 2007 Sesames Award for Best Banking/Finance/Retail Application, at the Cartes digital security and smart cards trade show in Paris.
Atos won the accolade for adapting its Secure Internet Payment Services (SIPS) solution to allow users to make secure bankcard payments via IPTV.
The solution is designed for content providers, who already offer services via IPTV channels run by Internet access providers (IAPs).
It will also be ideal for TV networks or retailers which provide interactive services over IPTV channels, and for IAPs themselves, who can offer the SIPS solution to IPTV services in addition to their own invoicing systems.
The SIPS IPTV solution provides a secure, easy-to-use interface, which allows card payments to be paid with a remote control. There is no need to connect to a website or make a telephone call.
Atos Worldline’s SIPS solution is a comprehensive on line payment solution for mail order and telesales, as well as for e-commerce.
SIPS handles over 10 million transactions per month, via the 13,000 equipped e-commerce sites in Europe. It provide the highest level of security with data protection, SSL, 3D Secure, secured servers, and PCI DSS.
