Livestation launches rating service

by Jan Harris

Livestation, which allows user to enjoy live TV and radio over broadband, has releases a user-generated rating and alert system to enhance users’ control and enjoyment.

The new service allows a Livestation Player user to press a “What’s Hot” button, if they want to alert other users to an interesting programme.

Hitting the button allows them to buzz their comments, and the more buzzes a channel receives, the higher it will rise in the What’s Hot list.

When a Livestation viewer or listener tunes in to a channel on the What’s Hot List, they will be able to chat in real time with others who have created or followed the What’s Hot buzz.

Livestation also plans to introduce What’s Hot desktop alerts, to keep users up to date on topics they are interested in.
