Abacast and FutureStream go to China
Abacast, Hybrid Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Technologies and Services provider, has announced a widening of the companies relationship with FutureStream Networks in order to deliver online video and audio within China.
FutureStream Networks has already successfully deployed Abacast’s technology in South Korea for the third largest South Korean broadcast company.
Abacast’s technology produced a 95% reduction in bandwidth requirements for delivery of a 500 kbps live video stream while supporting over 35,000 concurrent users.
The Abacast Hybrid P2P streaming technology reduces bandwidth required to carry simulcast channels by in excess of 5Gbps and also significantly reduces the number of servers and networking components required to carry broadcasts online, without loss of quality.
