Swarmcast Commits to Continent With European Office

by Alan Harten

Swarmcast, is well known in the US and Asia as an online video streamer, but is less well known in continental Europe.

The company is hoping to change that by opening is first European base in Zurich, Switzerland.

It recently showed its wares in Europe for the first time at the IBC gathering in Amsterdam, where the company promoted its very European sounding Autobahn Platform, which is capable of a television like experience from live and on-demand Internet video viewing.

The company believes it has the know how and platforms to give European companies the tools they need to find money making methods from online video.

They point to the China Olympics that were a huge success for the company and say that the public has a very large appetite for streaming of such events.

Swarmcast believes that Autobahn can deliver what companies and the public are demanding in terms of streaming video, especially of live events that have a big audience potential.

They hope that opening an office in the heart of Europe will better place them to reach potential clients on the continent.
