New IPTV package in Italy from FastWeb

FastWeb, the main alternative telecommunications operator to wide band on fixed net in Italy, is to launch an IPTV package for €20 a month, in order to capture attract viewers who do not wish to pay for a triple-play package but require more than terrestrial offerings.

The new package will include all the national terrestrial channels, including Rai, Mediaset, La7 and MTV and the channels carried on the various digital terrestrial multiplexes, in addition to four movie premieres a month and interactive channels for children.

Two new services on offer will enable the recording of any programme, and enable the replay of any programme aired in the past three days.

Viewers will also be able to acquire on-demand content for prices ranging from €1.99 to €5, such as recent movies in high definition, Italian TV series, football matches and programming from Cartoon Network and ESPN Network.
