Global-MIX announces affordable outside broadcasting
Global-MIX, which specializes in the delivery of live and on-demand content via the Internet, has announced new outside broadcasting services which allow events to be broadcast live for just £1,500.
The new services mean that events previously considered too small to justify the expense of deploying outside broadcast (OB) units can now be covered.
Global-MIX’s OB units are the first to provide a dedicated live webcasting service that is both professionally managed and cost effective.
Events can be webcast, i.e. streamed live, or hosted online for later viewing.
The OB units are also much more compact than traditional outside TV broadcast units, and are therefore much more maneuverable, and the OB vans can attend almost every event.
Webcasts are delivered to the Internet in Windows Media (VC-1), Flash, MPEG-4 and MPEG-2 via a satellite connection.
The NHS was the first organization to benefit from tne new technology.
This month the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust used Global-MIX to broadcast its staff recognition awards and to provide staff with a 24-hour Video On-Demand service.
