ANT joins Open IPTV Forum
ANT Software has become the latest member of the Open IPTV Forum. The Forum devises end-to-end specifications for IPTV and promotes them as an open standard for use by vendors of communications systems in order to ensure that services and devices are interoperable.
Helmut Schink, the Forum’s Steering Group Vice-Chair, welcomed ANT, saying that the company has a proven track record in IPTV, and the Forum looks forward to benefiting from the company’s knowledge in the expanding IPTV market.
The Open IPTV Forum was founded by Ericsson, FT Group, Nokia Siemens, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sony and Telecom Italia. Companies that have recently joined include Alcatel-Lucent, Deutsche Telekom, Huawei, ZTE Corporation, Telefonica, LG Electronics, TeliaSonera, Tilgin (News - Alert) and Verimatrix.
ANT Software, which has its headquarters in Cambridge, is a leading provider of software solutions and services which allow broadcasters, telco operators and cable and satellite companies to deliver digital media content to consumers.
