Techex secures distribution agreement with Exterity
Techex, a distributor of video transmission technology, has secured an agreement to distribute Exterity Ltd’s market-leading IPTV equipment.
Exterity’s products deliver broadcast quality digital video over IP networks within buildings.
Techex is to distribute Exterity’s TV Gateway, allowing it to supply a complete solution to resellers.
Together, Exterity and Techex will focus on the UK and European education, medical and defence and security sectors. They will also target the banking and finance industries.
Techex already distributes standards-based video networking solutions for Vbrick. This range will now be complemented with Exterity’s products, allowing Techex to provide resellers with a comprehensive offering suitable for any size of deployment.
The partnership with Exterity will add a DVB to IP product to Techex’s offering, filling a previous gap in the company’s portfolio.
Exterity’s IPTV gateway products allow businesses to plug digital terrestrial (DVB-T) and digital satellite (DVB-S) services directly into the LAN.
This means that they can stream live broadcast TV and radio across their buildings or campus network.
The solution is easily installed and there are no additional infrastructure costs.
Exterity’s core in-socket technology allows appliances to be connected directly to wall mounted iSockets, providing easy access to digital media and services.
