Further delays to Indian cable operators’ IPTV service
TRAI, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, wants to progress the provision of IPTV services by cable and telecom operators in India, but the large number of unregistered cable operators in the country is posing a problem.

1.243 million IPTV subscribers for France Telecom
By the end of 2007, France Telecom achieved 1.243mn subscribers for its IPTV service “Orange TV”. Of these subscribers, 90% were in France. The company also offers its IPTV service in Spain.

BT Vision signs-up 150,000 customers
BT Vision, which provides broadband video on demand via a Freeview digital terrestrial TV set-top box, has increased its subscriber base to 150,000 in just over a year.
