Complete TV teams up with Simply Global TV
Simply Global TV the set top box provider are to team up with IPTV technology specialist Complete TV with a view to produce a crossover IPTV and Freeview service which would be totally independent of the customers ISP.
Simply Global TV will be the public face of the partnership, while Complete TV will be providing its set top media centre. The service will initially focus on combining mainstream IPTV content along side specialist programming with will be focussed on specific ethnic communities. The service will also provide support for recording and the pausing of live TV.
This is an excellent deal for both parties, they get to offer a complete IPTV service which is delivered over the public internet system, but will be combined with the freeview services that already exist.
By offering both services, the consumers can try IPTV and see how it develops, after all this is the future of in home entertainment, while allowing the consumer to have the digital TV service which they are used to.
