Freewire IPTV gains MTV music channels

by Jan Harris

Inuk Networks has added popular music programmes from MTV Networks UK to its Freewire IPTV service which serves university campuses via the high-speed JANET network.

Inuk has recently secured a number of content deals, adding Channel 4, Five and S4C, to the programming schedule.

The company is also adding pay TV channels to the platform and plans to expand the service to residential customers later this year.

The new MTV Networks UK offering includes core channels MTV and VH1, plus MTV Hits, MTV2, MTV Dance, MTV Flux and VH1 Classic.

As well as broadcasting the latest music videos, MTV also features popular, innovative programmes such as My Super Sweet 16, Pimp My Ride, Laguna Beach and Run’s House.
