Tiscali provides PictureBox on IPTV

by Jan Harris

Tiscali is partnering with Universal Pictures to provide PictureBox, Universal’s subscription video-on-demand service, in the UK.

PictureBox will be part of Tiscali’s IPTV service in the UK and will offer a choice of around 28 blockbuster movies for £5 a month. New titles will be added on a weekly basis.

The service will initially offer Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, The Interpreter, Friday Night Lights and The Chronicles of Riddick, among other choices.

The movies can be watched at a time to suit the viewer and can be watched over several sittings, freeing viewers from rental time constraints.

PictureBox is already available in the UK, having launched on the Top Up TV Anytime digital terrestrial service last December.
