KT sign a deal with NHN

South Korean Telecom company has recently signed a deal with the internet content service operator NHN, together they will both explore and develop the IPTV service Mega TV. NHN are owners of the portal Naver, it is expected that they will be providing a wide range of services through this portal, which include: TV search, Full duplex channel service – Naver, Hangame, and Junior Naver. Plus a variety of services which are provided by websites.

KT has the built up the broadest and it has to said the most reliable communications network infrastructure, which is essential for the IPTV service. As they will able to provide more and more valuable services to the consumer.

The partnership will begin by the companies providing information search and data channel services, through the Mega TV outlet, this will continue until the end of the year and will expand the service as they transform Mega TV into a IPTV provider.

These partnerships are forging the way for IPTV by using existing networks and adding to the services, which attract consumers and content providers which makes the network grow and thus expand.
