Amino receives “Best IPTV Technology” at IBC2007
Amino won Cable & Satellite International's Product of the Year Award at this year’s IBC2007 event in the category “Best IPTV Technology” for its AmiNET 125 set-top-box.
The AmiNET125 enables delivery of both Internet TV and IPTV, whether streamed live or through Video on Demand, and supports multiple codecs. The set-top box also supports additional features such as video conferencing, gaming and VoIP. The company won the award ahead of Microsoft’s IPTV solution for the Xbox 360 games console, and Packetvision’s IPTV Addressable Advertising service.
More than 46,964 visitors attended IBC2007 in Amsterdam, higher than last year’s record attendance. Over 1,300 exhibits from over 120 countries made this the largest IBC ever.
IBC continues to grow in stature as a must-visit for professionals from all over the globe who are interested in the whole breadth of electronics communication. The demand for more exhibition space, particularly in the areas of IPTV and mobile are testament to the importance of IBC to the industry.
IBC returns to the RAI Centre in Amsterdam next year, with the conference opening on 11 September and the exhibition running from 12 to 16 September 2008.
