MTS Allstream to utilize Zhone’s Multi Service Access Platform
Allstream Inc. who are known as MTS Allstream have announced that they have begun deploying the Zhone multi-access line concentrator, aka, MALC, for the delivery of voice and new data services across its national network.
Zhone’s MALC multi-service access platform (MSAP) will be utilized for providing access on-ramps to MTS Allstream services within Manitoba and throughout Canada.
MTS Allstream has a long standing relationship with Zhone and so selected them to provide next generation access product for voice and data services for their residential, small business and enterprise clients.
They believe that Canadian technology in this field is at least a year ahead of their US counterparts; they also are of the opinion that this technology has great export potential in the wider global market.

MTS Allstream Inc. is a subsidiary of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc.
Their Enterprise Solutions division, which operates nationally, is a leading competitor in the national business and wholesale markets, offering clients IP connectivity, unified communications, IT consulting and security services, and voice and data connectivity services.
Their Consumer Markets division delivers a suite of next generation wireless, high-speed Internet and data, digital television and wireline voice services.
They also offer security and alarm monitoring services via affiliate, AAA Alarm Systems Ltd.
MTS Allstream operates a national broadband fibre optic network across more than 24,300 kilometres throughout Canada.
