BT Vision in deal with Disney

by Jan Harris

BT has entered into an agreement with Disney-ABC International Television, to make its TV shows available on IPTV service BT Vision.

The agreement includes a total of 650 episodes from a range of shows, including Lost, Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty. The shows will be available on a rental and pay-per-view basis.

BT Vision’s CEO, Dan Marks, said, “we’re continuing to develop the quality and quantity of BT Vision’s programming offering and we are very pleased to bring Disney-ABC International Television’s outstanding TV series to our customers for the first time”.

BT has just entered into a partnership with Microsoft, allowing Xbox 360 owners to access the BT Vision digital TV service through their consoles. Disney content, and content from MGM, is now part of the US Xbox Live Video Marketplace.
