Two conferences focusing on telecom/IPTV planned for US

by Lin Freestone

Team Lightbulb, a newly formed conference planning, trade show management, and event management organisation, is arranging the schedules for two conferences in the United States which will focus on telecom and IPTV.

The first conference, Telecom Crash Course: Exploring the IPTV Universe, will be held on 25 October 2007 in New York. Developed by Team Lightbulb, this new conference features telecom guru Steven Shepard, who will explore the IPTV landscape and examine next-generation applications and broadband video.

Telecom2008 will be held in Las Vegas between 15 and 16 April 2008. Team Lightbulb will again produce its highly successful conference for telecom professionals at the NAB Show, focusing on key issues facing carriers as they consider or begin deploying IPTV services.

Registration for the Telecom Crash Course is open. Speaker proposals for Telecom2008 are being accepted.

Team Lightbulb was established in January 2007 to cater for the increase in face-to-face and online conferences and trade shows. In addition to traditional event organisers such as trade associations, organisations such as publishers are using conferences and webinars as marketing tools and new revenue streams.

The company develops strategic plans, develops programming and secures speakers, sells sponsorships and exhibit space, conducts marketing, and runs events.
