Velocix and Kontiki Unite
Two major corporate bodies, Kontiki and Velocix, have announced their partnership in the development of web delivery of large digital assets, including video, software and games.
The two companies hope the wealth of knowledge they possess between them, will show within their future developments.
The partnership will see Velocix providing the hosted version of the Kontiki Delivery Management System (DMS).
Of course, they will be using their Global Digital Asset Delivery Network, and with the combination of the two solutions, will be able to offer new methods of deployment for Kontiki and its customers.
Velocix will also excel current services by offering an additional opportunity to subscribe to the Kontiki service on a managed basis, limiting the time and effort needed to use the application and hardware.
That being said, this provides Kontiki customers the benefits of access to P2P web delivery.
Hybrid P2P based solutions offer significant economic and scalability benefits over traditional systems that both corporate bodies can appreciate, especially with Velocix and Kontiki being potential world leaders in the P2P technology industry.
The P2P solutions have digital delivery performance on par and better than traditional systems, but offer a lower cost implication.
Performance can be sustainable giving an overall excellent quality of experience and service.
