Zodiak and blinkx form search partnership
A partnership has been formed between Zodiak International, a commercial distributor of television programming, and blinkx, the world’s largest video search engine. Blinkx’s unique search engine technology will allow Zodiak’s content to be found easily by the viewer at www.blinkx.com.
Zodiak’s television programming includes game shows, reality TV, sketch comedy and scripted dramas.
Blinkx will place contextually relevant advertising against the footage and share resulting advertising revenue with Zodiak.
Zodiak International is the international sales and distribution arm of Zodiak Television AB, one of the largest independent television production companies in Europe. The distributor presents more than 10,000 hours of quality television programming across all genres.
A pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the smartest way to search new forms of online content. With more than 220 partners and 18 million hours of indexed video and audio content, blinkx uses advanced speech-recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.
Zodiak Television AB comprises a wide range of television brands based throughout Northern and Eastern Europe, UK and US, including well-known brands such as Mastiff, Jarowskij, Kanakna, Diverse Production and TeleAlliance.
