Transvideo announces a quartet of IPTV solutions
Beijing Digital Transvideo Technology Co Ltd is releasing four new IPTV application solutions:
• i -Cast TV, a real time live broadcast and time shift solution;
• i -VOD TV, a real time audio/video VOD solution;
• i -Push Network, an audio/video Pushing solution;
• i -Download Home Media Center solution.
The company hopes that the new offering will help increase its client base.
The solutions are designed for companies involved in establishing a real time live broadcasting platform. i -Cast allows companies to broadcast real time and recorded programs and provide time shift TV service allowing viewers to watch programmes on demand.
i -VOD allows companies to provide video-on-demand services for the mass market, or for limited distribution in locations such as hotels, educational facilities, large-sized corporations or training centres,
The i -Push solution allows content to be transmitted directly to a terminal device with an embedded hard disk. It is designed for companies involved in video/audio subscription services or providing a broadcasting platform for a commercial building
i -Download is a multi-media-centre solution designed to allow telecommunications operators to provide entertainment, educational and interactive communication activities for families.
All four solutions are based on H.264 coding and decoding techniques. They provide excellent picture quality at low bandwith and offer significant cost-efficiencies.
Transvideo has been providing IPTV solutions since 2004. Its main customer is KyLinTV, a North America-based IPTV company who launched the services in October 2005.
