Concurrent Announces Master Purchase Agreement with Cox Communications
Cox Communications has completed a master purchase agreement to dispense MediaHawk 4500 VOD servers across their VOD-enabled subscriber base.
The concurrent Mediahawk will replace other server brands, and Cox’s has licence to Concurrent’s targeted advertising patent portfolio.
The Mediahawk 4500 is a asset as part of the Content Delivery System, it’s standards-based, highly-available video servers allowing 2,300 simultaneous on-demand streams to be supported (SD content at 3.75 Mbps) over a wide array of transport networks, only requiring a 2RU enclosure.
Concurrent’s Gatling Resilient Streaming Technology™ detects failures and diverts to prevent loss of VOD sessions, and combined with the the MediaCache™ 100, provides exceptional reliability, and lower maintenance costs.
