NeuLion IPTV powers International Fight League

by Jan Harris

US-based IPTV service provider, NeuLion, has entered into a partnership with the International Fight League (IFL), a mixed martial arts organisation.

The deal will bring The IFL Network, which is said to be the next best thing to being ringside, to fans around the world, via NeuLion’s IPTV platform.

The IFL Network, http://www.ifl.tv/Video.html, is free to view, and operates on an advertising model.

As well as Live Events, video, and behind-the-scenes features, the service provides social networking features such as online chat and text messaging. Users can also share videos.

Under the agreement, NeuLion will provide billing services for pay-per-view events, registration and subscriptions.

NeuLion’s agreement with the IFL follows several similar deals with other major sporting organisations, including National Hockey League, New York Knicks, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Toronto Maple Leafs regional sports network, New York Dragons and Cuban Baseball.
