1.243 million IPTV subscribers for France Telecom

By the end of 2007, France Telecom achieved 1.243mn subscribers for its IPTV service “Orange TV”. Of these subscribers, 90% were in France. The company also offers its IPTV service in Spain.
There were 2.5 million paid downloads in 2007 for France Telecom’s video on demand service.
France Telecom, Europe’s third largest phone group, has reported that it had a total of 11.7 million broadband customers across Europe at the end of last year, of which 7.3 million were in France. This represented a 25% increase over the 2006 figure.
