Orange reviews IPTV plans
by Jan Harris
Mobile operator, Orange UK, is re-considering plans to roll out its IPTV service, because it is too similar to BT Vision.
Orange IPTV has proved a success in France, where it has signed up over one and half million customers, and the company has been carrying out trials of the service in the UK.
The news was announced by Tim Alexander, Orange UK CEO, who also said that the company is scaling back the roll-out of fixed line broadband, and will focus on building up its infrastructure and improving customer services.
The company, which is owned by France Telecom, is now looking at mobile TV as a possible new business model.
