Concurrent Appoints new Chief Financial Officer

by Grant Draper

Concurrent, who generally base their operations around the real-time Linux®-based computing technologies sector, have recently announced their newly employed chief financial officer and executive vice president of operations, Emory Berry.

Berry will now see a formal contract in place, slightly different to the contract between TechCFO and himself to work for Concurrent as chief financial officer, which began in 2007.

Concurrent certainly had enough time to interview Berry, a time span of over 18 months has allowed Concurrent to decide whether or not Berry was the future of the position in the company.

Concurrent executives have been increasingly impressed with Berry’s performance, whether that be improvements in gross margins, smoother cash flow, or generally well structured financial decisions and operations, Berry has stepped up to the challenge.

It’s not just Berry’s personality that allows him to be a natural leader, and therefore fit for the position either.

Berry has over 20 years experience in the financial field, and is a CPA, not to mention the various positions he has held in companies such as DVT Corporation and Firearms Training Systems.

Berry possesses a BBA in accounting, which was obtained at his stay at Samford University, and a further MBA, which was obtained from Georgia State University.

Concurrent’s on-demand products are used by cable and IPTV companies to deliver video-on-demand and other interactive television applications.
