ROK in Jalipo takeover

by Jan Harris

ROK Entertainment Group Inc, which develops entertainment products for mobile phone, has acquired Jalipo Ltd.

Through UK-based IPTV company, Jalipo Media Limited, a subsidiary of Jalipo Ltd, ROK will be able to stream TV content live over the Internet, to mobile devices.

Jalipo is the first online marketplace for TV and video. It allows content owners to offer content such as video-on-demand, as well as live events, over the Internet to a global audience.

The acquisition of Jalipo significantly strengthens ROK’s position in the mobile TV market.

ROK TV enables the streaming of live and on-demand TV to mobile phones over 2.5G, 3G and Wi-Fi.
