Splash Media and Safari Books Combine Content
Splash Media LP, who perhaps surprisingly are winners of an Emmy Award for digital video publishing, have joined forces with Safari Books Online, in a partnership aimed at bringing the Splash video library to Safari’s on-demand video customers.
Safari currently offers subscribers around 7200 different titles, which are all academic, tech or business related and available as digital text and video formats.
Splash is bringing its expertise in Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) solutions to the table to combine with safari in this new venture.
The partnership will combine the Splash existing on-demand training network, known as the Success Training Network (TSTN), and their xTrain network with Safari’s online video collection.
TSTN has a library of around 300 hours of business skills training.
xTrain can offer 130 hours of slightly different content that focuses on a wide variety of subjects such as web design, online marketing, digital arts and related areas.
Splash Media has a solid reputation for the creation and publishing of corporate and consumer training video and other media.
The company has its own, state-of-the-art studio and production and technical team.
Since 2001, Safari Books Online has been distributing technology and business books from leading authors and publishers into an online database that IT, programming, design and learning professionals can quickly and easily search for reliable, definitive answers to mission-critical questions.
Safari has cornered the market in technical and IT reference materials, publishing the collections of Prentice Hall Professional, O’Reilly Media, Addison-Wesley Professional, Microsoft Press, Sams, Que, Peachpit Press, John Wiley & Sons, Elsevier, lynda.com, Adobe Press, Cisco Press, Sun Microsystems Press, Wharton School Publishing, Course Technology and many more top publishers in one fully searchable database
