Tiscali UK secures Disney-ABC deal

by Jan Harris

Tiscali UK has secured a deal with Disney-ABC to broadcast programmes such as, Scrubs, Lost, Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy on its on-demand channel, C1.

Subscribers to Tiscali TV’s Entertainment Mix will be able to view over 400 hours of content from Disney-ABC. Entertainment Mix is available for £6 a month, while a standard Tiscali TV subscription is available from £19.99 a month. This includes an 8Mbps broadband connection and phone call package.

C1 currently airs shows such as Doctor Who, Sex and the City and Life on Mars, together with programming from channel 4’s 4OD service and HBO on-demand.

Tiscali UK’s deal follows a similar agreement between BT and Disney-ABC, signed in January. This included 650 episodes from a range of shows, available on a rental and pay-per-view basis on BT’s IPTV service.
