Emuse appointed for BT Vision advertising

by Jan Harris

Telecoms company BT Group Plc has appointed emuse absolutely as the preferred supplier of next-generation interactive advertising services for BT Vision, its TV service.

emuse and BT will together work with major brands and their advertising agencies to develop interactive services in BT Vision. They will operate the service jointly.

It will run on Microsoft Mediaroom, the IPTV and multimedia software platform which has been designed to provide richer support for web services such as interactive advertising services and video-on-demand portals.

Emuse was chosen by BT because of its extensive experience in providing interactive advertising over IPTV.

Although interactive advertising has been used on the Sky Digital platform for some time, it has yet to become established on cable and DTT platforms.

The partnerships means that emuse can now offer interactive content on every available platform.
