Tilgin Wins Another Mystery Order For IPTV Technology
After announcing just last week that they had won an order with a Middle Eastern company, Tilgin, a provider of customer premises equipment (CPE) solutions for multiplay and next-generation broadband services, has announced that it has secured another trial order for IPTV technology from another “leading” company this time in Europe.
It’s a case of déjà-vu all over again as the company decline to make it clear just who has placed this mystery order as they did two weeks ago with the Middle East announcement.
According to Tilgin their IMS TV architecture is of “great importance” in the operator’s ambition to create a market leading offer.
They do say that the size of this initial order is limited and obviously their ultimate aim is to secure a full order once the company has had a chance to evaluate Tilgin’s value.
They went on to say that over the last few days they have managed to secure “several” IPTV technology orders from other leading European operators.
They claim that this in turn “confirms Tilgin’s technological leadership” but that is a little hard to assess without details.
