Asia Pacific Expansion For Orca Interactive
IPTV middleware provider Orca Interactive Ltd., today announced plans to move into the Asia Pacific market.
The subsidiary of Viaccess was established in 1996, and is based out of Ra’anana, Israel, in spite of being owned by France Telecom.
Chief Technology Officer at Orca, Ofer Weintraub, is to speak at the CommunicAsia conference about the company’s most recent IPTV and Web 2.0 applications.
His address is part of the company’s plan to prepare a place in the market for its move to the region.
Orca stated that they would be implementing their expansion strategy in the third quarter of this year, following in the footsteps of their mother-corporation, Viaccess.
Orca won’t be the only provider in the region, however they have set high goals for themselves and have stated that they are hoping to lead in innovation and cutting-edge solutions by providing tailor made systems integrator enabled products.
The main product to be offered by the company will be their content discovery platform, known as COMPASS, as well as Orca’s RiGHTv middleware.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Orca, Sefy Ariely, stated that the move into the Asia Pacific region was part of the company’s long-term plan to promote the growth of IPTV on an international scale.
